Knowing The Sun Will Shine Again

Knowing the sun will shine again
I sit here basking in the midnight air
A quiet sip from my enduring courage
Thinking naughty thoughts of my lady fair

Knowing I can’t sleep when I can write
I fall back into my imaginative stupor
Only to be shook by the dawn’s yawn
Daylight kicks me swift, right in the pooper

Finding The Courage To Excel

Finding the courage to excel
Knowing your place doesn’t compute
Internal struggles with society
Forcing a soul to be steadfast & resolute

Innocent people lost in tragic groupthink
Needing to be fleshed out in their own air
It’s a lonely world among the righteous
Devoid of rhetoric; most are sadly unaware

“What though the field be lost?

All is not lost; th’unconquerable will,

And study of revenge, immortal hate,

And courage never to submit or yield.

– Milton: Paradise Lost, 1667
