There’s a difference
In what we’ve seen
You’ve sat idly
I’ve been in the machine
The belly & the bowels
Breathing fire & steam
I’ve stood the watch
While you’ve had pleasant dreams
There’s a difference
In what we’ve seen
You’ve sat idly
I’ve been in the machine
The belly & the bowels
Breathing fire & steam
I’ve stood the watch
While you’ve had pleasant dreams
And we thank you 🙏🏼

Thank you. I’ve always been wary of this one. I like it, but don’t want to seem arrogant about my service.

That’s awesome. 17 years after enlisting I’m just now finding service members who write. I think it’s a fascinating combination.
I’m sure I’ve said it before, but I sailed upon the USS Kitty Hawk a lifetime ago into Sydney and Brisbane. You have a beautiful country and great beer!
I’ve missed out on Hawaii several times. It doesn’t seem to be in the cards for me yet.
